The Alice-Project circulates objective information on drugs, especially at parties and in schools. Broadly speaking the grass-root project tries to establish a conscious relationship towards psychoactive substances, and help drug-users with problems. Alice also discusses socio-cultural issues and works for change when necessary. In addition, the independent side-project Connecta organizes idealistic cultural events and tries to create free spaces.
People of most different ages used drugs to get into relaxed or stimulated states. In old cultures they were often used as a part of rituals to open and alter the state of mind. Today in many cases the usage corresponds to an escape from reality. Many people experience an interpersonal coldness as a result of a system, which gives profit more importance than the individual person.
A new drug policy must correspond to a change the social conditions and the real needs of the people. It must include the possibility of a self-determined decision on the use of drugs, but also include programs for people with problems. Necessary for a conscious relation towards drugs is the ability to get objective information about the different substances and their effects.
